Jordan Daykin is a serial entrepreneur with a proven track record of identifying business opportunities and capitalising on them. He started his first business at just twelve after finding a gap in the market when playing an online virtual game. Jordan, one of Britain's Leading Young Entrepreneur's and founder of one Dragons' Den most successful businesses, spends most of his time in Wiltshire, home to where the business began and still remains.
Having grown up around family businesses, Jordan takes a savvy financial approach to business and as founder and CEO of Melksham-based GripIt Fixings, runs a £20m business that exports to over 34 countries worldwide. GripIt’s can now be found in over 5,000 UK stores (including ASDA, Wickes, Screwfix, Currys, B&Q and Argos) and 1,000 stores across Australia, New Zealand and the USA.
With GripIt doing well and a strong management team in place, Jordan wanted to become more versatile with his knowledge and experiences. He started this by acquiring a VPS Group back in 2018. Tutor Magnet, the second business he stared when he was 12, is an ongoing venture to help students find tutors and there are many more projects to broaden the horizon.
This achievement makes him the most successful Dragons' Den entrepreneur in history - following his appearance at the age of 18 when he secured £80,000 from Deborah Meaden. Being on the receiving end of some invaluable guidance from a selection of incredibly talented and passionate business people during his career to date, which has helped him get to where he is today. Wanting to give something back to the next generation of young entrepreneurs and hopes to give aspiring business owners the motivation to turn their bright ideas into a reality by creating Ideas Magnet.
